At Capiau, the life of a market gardener
First, discover the heritage of the Marais Audomarois through the testimony of market gardener Yves Capiau, a spokesperson for the inhabitants of the Marais. Listen to his anecdotes, immerse yourself in the history of Audomarois and the life of the Brouckaillers.
The underwater adventure
Then go on an exploration in the heart of the Marais Audomarois, thanks to the Sous-Marais, a 24m long machine which sets the scene for this second exhibition: A legendary crew which travels the marsh under the waters in order to contemplate and protect the beauty of this ecosystem.
Observe the “creatures” of the depths in our aquariums, browse our collection of period tools, for market gardening, boat manufacturing and even peat mining.

The traditional boat trip
In addition to discovering our two exhibitions, enjoy an hour of calm and relaxation aboard a traditional boat, and set off accompanied by our guide to discover the Marais Audomarois natural area.
In a boat that can accommodate up to 12 people (several boats available), the guide will answer all your questions and help you discover the riches, history, biodiversity and legends of the Audomarois region.

At the end of the day, we take you to the heart of the Marais Audomarois for a 1h30 guided tour, to take the time to observe this sensitive natural space in the last hours of the afternoon. This visit will allow us to move away from our usual route and allow you to discover other facets of the Marais.
Subject to availability, from April to September at 5:30 p.m., maximum 36 people.

To experience the marsh differently: A meal at Bols du Marais
Before or after your visit, choose to take advantage of our restaurant area with terrace by the water, for a fresh, locavore lunch. The principle is simple, your bowl will be composed of local, seasonal vegetables and meat, fish or cheese from regional produce. Enjoy a gourmet coffee or tea with sweet touches from Audomarois artisans to finish your meal.
